plenty of gripes in the beginning with slides locking back with ammo still in the magazine.....

many have stated it was an out of spec slide stop tab, some say it was ball ammo that has a longer profile than hollow point ammo...

anyone have one that gave them trouble, got it fixed and kept it because its now 100%?

I have two, got both last fall, and have never had a bit of trouble with either.

I mostly shoot my FMJ reloads, but the few boxes of HP's I shot, didnt have any problems either.

Both are accurate, and reliable, and fun to shoot. They shoot just as well as the larger models I have, and at the same distances too.

My only complaint is, they run out of ammo to soon. :)

My G42 has been totally reliable and will "follow me anywhere". Of all of my Micro pistols the G42 is the easiest to carry and most importantly...easiest to shoot.

My G42 is my main EDC and has zero issues since bought new.300+ass't.HB+200 Critical Defense.Just a senior trying to stay safe,G42 works for me. :D

Mine hasn't had that problem, and I have yet to have a single issue when shooting. My wife had a few failures due to a weak grip (as it shot fine for me immediately after), but she put 100 rounds through a rental before we bought this one without an issue. Could be a mix of grip hold and breaking the pistol in.

The magazine release does stick out a bit, so I could see someone having issues with releasing the mag and maybe locking it back in while shooting. Not sure what else could cause that issue from a user standpoint (excluding manufacturer issues).
