Let me tell you about Kimber's customer service!

One point about the decision to purchase a gun is what happens if it breaks. I bought a Kimber stainless target about one year eight months ago and the gun has performed flawlessly. One day shooting at the range the rear sights would not hold zero and finally flew apart. The timing could have been better as I was in the middle of a match, but what the heck. I called Kimber from work on their 1800 number. I could not call the custom shop from work so like 2 minites after I hang up a custom shop rep calls me at work. The rep acted like my problem was the most urgent business he had all day and told me the problem would be corrected ASAP. I second day aired the slide on a Tuesday and had it back by that Friday all at no charge. The gun was technically 8 months out of warrenty. I felt like Kimber's customer service was first rate.

Yes, Kimber stands by their products and in my experience, will always fix the problem as fast as possible as not to inconvenience the customer. Its a darn good way to keep people buying their excellent products. I'm glad it all worked out for you.

My only problem with this is that it's now so expensive to ship a pistol anywhere it's usually cheaper for me to have it fixed locally.
Had a friend who figured out he had spent nearly as much shipping his problem Taurus back and forth than he had payed for it.

I'm glad Kimber is service friendly, but I'd rather see them spend some more time on testing the guns they do ship out.
