Les Baer, low serial, request information

Hi.

I have in my hands an early Les Baer 1911 .45 acp. The frame is marked Rock Island, Il and the serial is LB4XX, three digits. The rear of the slide is serrated, it came with a Lone Star magazine, it has serrated black match sights and has no roll-marks on the slide. (no Baer Custom/.45acp) It is stainless and has a magwell.

What exactly am I in possession of? I have mailed Les Baer, but no reply thusfar.
 
Not aware of les ever using a rock island frame. Before his own he was using caspian frames. My premier is lb169, caspian frame from 1995 I believe. I'd be extremely surprised to hear les used a rock frame. Ever Baer I've seen had Baer custom on it. Unless a naked slide was requested.
 
Well, except from Rock Island, Il, USA, it says Les Baer Custom, Inc on the frame, so it is definitely not a third party frame.
