I purchased a Les Baer Concept III from Terry Peters @ P&T Partners . I got an extended safety instead of the ambi, Bomar Adjustable Sights, and De-horn package. The gun was tight as hell and the feel was perfect.
In Pennsylvania today, the wind chill was 10 degrees, overcast skies, wind gusts up to 30 mph and nobody at the range except me
So I posted up targets on all 8 boards @ the 25 yard pistol range. After adjusting the Bomar sights, I shot roughly 1 to 1 1/2" groups with a pistol rest. I am sure it could shoot much tighter groups with better loads. I was shooting my handloads (230 fmj) just for break in.
From the unsupported, my groups were not very good. Mainly, the wind gusts kept me from getting a good sight picture. I put approximately 500 rounds through the pistol with only 3 malfunctions (failure to feed). I attribute it to the pistol being extremely dirty.
I cannot wait for a nice day to try some of my wad cutters through it. The Concept III was definitely worth the long wait. Thank you again Terry for your wonderful customer service. The next time I am ready for another Les Baer or Wilson, I will definitely give you a call. I highly recommend you guys to give P&T Partners a try. You will not be disappointed.
