LEO Trade-In Pistol, P226 In the Rack

I acquired this older Tysons Corner Sig P226 this week. I have been wanting a P226. All the serial numbers match on the barrel, slide and frame, The grips are replacements, but I will want wood ones vs. plastic or rubber.
Pistol is tight will a nice bore. It came with an after market rail which I immediately removed and placed in the junk pile. I think it may of been a Surefire rail; although there are no markings on it.

Yes, it has two scallops or mud cut on each side. There is no indications of any frame or slide cracking. I am not too concerned since I reload and am not a fan of hot loads.

Also of importance, I considered the price fair. It will go in the rack next to my two P220's.

Quite a few of my pistols are LEO trades, those are typically great bargains. The 226 is a classic, enjoy!!! Yes, no collection is complete without one or several!

Last year I got a 220, this year I got a 229, only a 226 left on my classic P-series list. Yours looks like a great warhorse ready to shoot some more!

Hammerhead I would go out on a limb to say the cz75 has the best ergonomics of any metal framed double stack pistol

Thanks Folks for all your comments. I totally agree with your comments on the Sigs and LEO trade-ins. I have a number of Sigs and a number of trade-in to include a shotgun, pistols and revolvers. The ones I own are all wonderful firearms obtained at bargain prices. :)

smee78, There is one on GunBroker that goes off in less than two days. Its serial number is only 4 units higher than mine. It had to come from the same delivery and was at the same police department.

Once again it is most likely a Tyson Corner distributed West German manufactured pistol. It is currently at a lower price than I paid which was $451.00 for its sibling.
