Every shooter is different, and what is comfortable to them while shooting will vary from shooter to shooter.
That said, I was wondering how someone would go about measuring a rifles LOP when shopping around for a rifle or looking to have custom furniture fitted to a rifle. I'm 5'2" and typically favor shorter stocks myself, and am looking to get some custom furniture for a rifle of mine.
Problem is, I don't know exactly how to give accurate measurements to the stock maker.
Is there a specific method to measure LOP or am I overthinking this and it's something as simple as having someone measure you while you hold a rifle where it's comfortable for you?
