Legality of belt-fed guns

Would a semi-auto version of a belt-fed M60 (civi version), for example, be legal without any special licences or stamps?
 
Yep! So far they're still legal, at least outside Kali anyway.;)
Pick yourself up a Shotgun News and see what's available, then get it while you still can!
 
there is some scuttle butt that the linked ammo in capacities over 10 rounds would have to be pre ban links!

Not scuttlebutt, DZ. "Post ban" links are marked and banned for private possession, just like "post ban" hi-cap magazines.

Not a big deal - most M60s these days cant fire 10 rounds together anyway.
Jamatic Automatic. I'ld not bother with getting a HOG.
Try for an FN MAG or MG-42 - Sumthing that WORKS.
 
Shot 4-500 rounds through a M60 a few weeks ago and never had a problem. Worked so good, lost control of the count. Did the Rambo thing, from the hip and the belt around the arm.
