Look, trigger pull might be a point in a trial but can be deflected. "I had the trigger pull lightened so I could be a better shot. I knew that if I had to use my pistol, legally carried, to defend myself that it may be where other persons were. I also knew that if that were the case I wanted to be able to make an accurate shot to defend my life and not to endanger those in the area."

An expert witness would be able to disprove or refute any allegation that the lighter trigger pull made the pistol more deadly or it had a hair trigger at 5#.

A 4 - 4.5# trigger pull on a 1911 is defensable.

Could still be tricky given the wrong judge and a whacky jury.

I recently went to a revolver for a "house gun" partly because its not evil looking. Should I ever be hauled into court, the old familiar looking revolver could be a lot more "defensible" than a CZ.

Oops. You can expect that a DA who is antigun would do anything to get you.

But a 5 lb trigger isn't that bad. Standard Glock trigger is 5.5 lbs.

About the appearance of guns - you might have some trouble with that. People have studied the issue and evil looking guns do tend to have some negative effects in some studies.
Even with the knowledgeable.

However, a standard semi vs a revolver may not be that important.

Some major military appearing long arm might be bad news. I could tell you more but I am under the cone of silence till November.
