Legacy Sports ammo recommendation

It would work just fine as a varmint bullet. Probably up around 3,400 to 3,500 ft/sec. For decades, the 110-grain was the varmint standard in '06.

For such as deer, the 150 is pretty much the standard loading.

Just wonder if their recommendation means that 100gr is the most accurate ammo for that rifle. Which doesn't make sense with a 1:10 twist. It should handle heavier bullets just fine, right?

"...as a varmint bullet..." That's what Legacy says. The title of the list with .308 on it seems to have been missed.
"VARMINT BULLET RECOMMENDATIONS"
Not at 3400 plus though. More like 3100ish. Max loads can get to 3300ish. Speer 100 grain Plinkers are running 2700ish to 3000ish.
