"Left-handed" SxS shotgun???

Hi, fellow shooters. I saw a Stoeger IGA side-by-side 12ga. shotgun in a local store today that really had me puzzled... The store owner told me it was a "left-handed side-by-side". I asked what on earth that meant, since as far as I can tell, a side-by-side is not really set up for left- or right-handed shooters at all. His reply was that the double triggers on this one were set on opposite sides to the norm, so that the trigger finger of the left hand could slip easily from the front to the back trigger.

On examining the gun, it appears he's right - the back trigger is offset to the left side of the gun, as opposed to the right side on the side-by-sides in my gun safe.

Has anyone seen this setup before? Is it common? If anyone out there wants a Stoeger "left-handed side-by-side", let me know, and I'll introduce you to this dealer ($275 list price, but will negotiate).

I've seen one custom left-handed sxs. The triggers were reversed, the top lever went left instead of right, the trigger guard was rolled on the right side instead of the left and the stock was cast on instead of cast off. This gun was worth substantially more than a Stoeger and well over what I could afford.

I checked my sxs and the right barrel trigger is to the right and the left trigger is to the left (looking from back to front). I'm not sure what the dealer is talking about in this case but a true left handed gun has the stock bent for a leftie among other things.

a real lefty sxs  that means you left barrel would be first up, after all these years of shooting a normal gun lefthanded this would blow my mind :D I think PJR has the right trigger alignment for the true southpaw gun.

In addition to trigger position, stock cast-off is usually for right handed shooters. I haven't seen a stock with left hand cast-off.
