If it is in good condition - tight lock up, bright barrels, lever still a bit to the right - then that is a very good price. It may not be a good idea to shoot much (or any) high intensity modern ammo in it as it was not designed for that. There is plenty of modern loaded low pressure ammo available.
And.....don't cut the barrels. Why would you want to do that to a classic shotgun?
Want a sawed off? Buy a cheap Chinese made gun and cut away but, please, not to a LeFever.
