Lefever Nitro Special 20 guage shotgun

Hi, my wife and I are in possession of a Nitro Special 20 guage shotgun that belonged to her father before he passed away.

I'd like to sell the gun, and am looking for any information/advice about it. The serial number (hard to read) appears to be 109615. I tried looking it up at http://doublegunshop.com/dgsnos3.htm but can't find that range listed.

It's got some oxidation on the barrels, and a small chip in the wood of the forearm (?). Any ideas about how much this is worth, and how to go about selling it?

Made by Ithaca,who bought the assets of one of Dan Lefever's companies, the Nitro Special was a low cost double at the time.

It was well made of top quality materials. Lots of them are still out there being used and loved by fourth generation shooters.

Last one I saw was priced at $600. It was not in perfect condition.

I hope you decide to not sell off your heritage.
