Just finished watching the Leeza show, and it featured Amy Mosley's parents-- she was the young lady who was killed by a fellow who had stalked her on the internet. She didn't know this guy, nor did she have any perception of threat. He cornered her as she left from work, and shot her 9 times before turning the gun on himself.
Now heres where it gets infuriating... Leeza went out of her way to point out that this guy had an arsenal, and that his fave gun was an AR-15. To reinforce this, the show repeatedly showed the guns laid out on the evidence table, including 2 AR's. Leeza never allowed the audience to comment on the guns, or to promote self-defense with her own firearm. She did, however, portray gunowners (particularly AR owners)as loners, ticking time bombs just waiting to go off. GRRRRR!!!!!
BTW- just another point for those who insist upon reliance on 911, rather than CCW- Ms. Mosley's reaction time couldn't have been much more than a few seconds. 911 is moot, at that short of a time. If she had a legal CCW, it may have made all the difference in the world.
Thanks, Leeza, for not promoting self-defense and CCW, and for enforcing the notion that we're victims waiting to happen.
My sincerest apologies and condolences go out to Ms. Mosley's family.
