So did a bit of accesing how I wanted to approach fixing the gap between the rubber gasket and the disc. The easiest method is to file down the plastic risers, however by design if you do this mod you are only correcting the issue if you use the double disc setup only. If you only need to use a single disc you will still have the gap. I ended up using some med emery cloth and sanding down the lower frame standoffs on a precision granite table. Took about 30min of sanding , trial fitting the disc , and sanding more until I got a nice fit. As you can see by my measurements I have .010" of clearance which puts a very slight press fit on the rubber gasket to disc surface yet still allows the discs to move freely.

I had to remove approx. .015" of material to get the proper fit. I loaded up about 30 rounds of ammo and no leakage so I'm good to go.
