Lee Load All 2

Has anyone successfully converted a 16 gauge Lee Load All 2 from 2 3/4" to 2 1/2" ? It would be a fun project just for grins and giggles.

I'm not looking for suggestions using other brands or equipment, only inquiring on a Lee Load All 2.

Looking at mine I don't see any serious problems modifying it to load a
shorter shell. Curious why 2 1/2? That was never a 16 ga standard---
the old 16 ga was 2 9/16.
 
Reason being

I have a Kreighoff drilling, 65mm chambers and I would like to NOT shoot 2-3/4" (70mm)
to avoid any unbo stress on the ole gal.

Since asking about the Lee Load All 2, I researched a lot on the subject of assembling
shorter shell's and found it to be a very common practice using a multitude of methods.

I'm nearing ready to pull the trigger and start purchasing all the tools and components.
 
Just realize that with the LLA there are no ways to set adjustments, so you will be doing it all by "feel" - not that it can't be done, just takes more focus to be consistent
