Anyone know of a all black LED flashlight with a 1 inch body for under 100 dollars that uses AA batteries? It will be mounted on a 870.

local hardware store...midway usa has some flash light mounts that clip around 1" flashlights...pich up a flashlight at the hardwaes tora and mount it on this : D

Not exactly 1" long or 1" wide <not sure which you wanted>, but the Mini Maglight that takes the AA batteries for $20, and then the Nite Ize's or however you spell it LED conversion unit for another $20. Bam, all black, LED, takes AA's and under $100.00

I'd take a look at a 3 cell AA Mini maglite, but make sure you get the one that has the LED in it when you buy it.The Nite-Iezs(sp?) conversion kits IMO are a waste of money.(not bright at all)

The 3 cell lights are about 1 1/2" longer then the 2 cell lights but they are about 50% brighter then the 2 cell and they have better battery life.

I bought one and I was going to mount it on my carbine but I liked it so much it is now my pocket light.:)

This is a $12 led flashlight[includes batteries,strap & multi colored light filters].
The mount is a $10 - 30 mm with a black piece rubber for a spacer.
The on/off is in the tail, takes 3 aaa batteries.
Walmart has them in the sporting goods with the flashlights, make sure you get GARITY.
This is the only off the shelf that fits a 30 mm with a little bushing[old innertube]
The light emitted is perfectly round and a lite blue in color.
This is mounted on the barrel of a ruger 10/22 in a bulpup stock.
The clamp on barrel adapter is a triple 5 space mount UTG unit for an ak stlye rifle.
A laser is mounted opposite and on the bottom a shorty harris bipod[currenty on my AR15]

This is really soilid way to mount the light,so much so a bit of my plastic forearm rail on my 590 chipped off!
I got the fore arm with pistol grip from cdnn sports, inc , I dont recommend it.
The one from ebay is good, but the mount is adjustable[30mm].

The G2 is a good choice, and it will hold up well under shotgun recoil. Surefire makes Picatinny clamps for it too... their "WeaponLights" with the integrated mounts are $500+++. But their dedicated shotgun forends are reasonable.
