Leaving NFA items at FFL

I'm in the process of moving and would like to leave several NFA items at the office of my employer for several weeks, who's an SOT manufacturer. They'd be stored in a safe, for which other people have access to.

How can I legally do this, in case the ATF does a compliance inspection and finds several MGs registered to my trust, in with a bunch of other guns?

So if I wanted to send an NFA item to a gunsmith with an FFL for repair or whatever, I'd have to Form 4 it to him and then have it Form 4'd back to me after it's worked on?

No. There is a specific exemption for "temporary conveyance," but it only covers repairs. Even then, the ATF recommends both parties do a Form 5 to keep things above board.

If you're a "Tinfoil Hat" kind a guy you've just spilled the beans...if not, Form 5 them to him for "repair"...most repairs take several weeks anyway.
