My little brother and Jim Leatherwood were personal friends and bro got to test quite a few of the scopes that Leatherwood made. He still has a few, probably 10 or more, that he tested but Leatherwood never marketed. The most interesting to me is the 8-40 power target scope. Like you said in your vid, the glass rivals some of the best. Another dandy is the quick mount that allows the shooter to take the scope off with a twist of a lever, shoot open sights, and then put the scope back on and not lose zero. Works for the several that bro has out to 500 yds. I think the Leatherwood scopes have been grossly under rated. The warranty for us has been if you have any problems with, return it and they send you a new one. Only had one that was kinda flakey and the transaction took about 10 days. I wasn't aware of this particular scope. I've been considering a red dot for a 444 Marlin for close hog hunting where the current 4 power scope is far too much and not near enough field of view. Looks like this one would fill the bill. I'll be checking one out in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for the vid.
