I'm thinking about trying out holster making. I'm going to start with an IWB for my 1911, specifically the style where one side (the side against your body) is leather and the other side is Kydex (riveted or sewn to the leather). I also plan to try an OWB holster, too. I was wondering if someone has a recommendation on how thick the leather should be, as well as the Kydex. On knifekits.com they sell black Kydex in 0.06", 0.08" and 0.093" thicknesses.
Thanks,
Justin
