Clinton was wrapping up a three-day fund-raising swing through Arizona and California that brought in about $4 million for the Democratic Party and its candidates in the November elections. After four speeches Saturday, he was headed back to Washington.

As for himself, Clinton said he was sometimes wistful that he was not running again.

"This is the first time in 26 years I've had an election roll around and I can't go out and ask somebody to vote for me. Sometimes I have, you know, kind of DTs about it, but most days I'm okay," he told a fund-raising brunch at the home of supermarket magnate Ron Burkle for California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein's reelection campaign.

Is anyone else as sick as I am of this guy reminding us at every opportunity that he's melancholy & out of sorts about not running for anything ? Does he think we'll feel bad and appoint him to an unlimited term before Nov. ? He just cannot l e t g o of the mantle of power.

He'll find a way to stay in the limelight. His ego won't let him sit on his a$$ in Arkansas and just do the lecture circuit. He'll be around for a long, long time to come.
 
I'll always believe there's a 'file'. And if I'm not on it yet, then what do I have to do to get on the list? I refuse to let you guys leave me behind.

If Gore wins in November, you can bet your sweet *** that Klinton will be given a post of some kind. Of course, if Gore wins, we may as well get Betsy to sew us a new flag, too.
 
I'm on at least one list, and proud of it. As for Clinton, the last I heard he was trying to maneuver himself into position to be a negotiator and peacemaker internationally, like Jimmy Carter. Whatever.

Hey, did I ever tell you about my high school in CLINTON, TN? Years ago, someone put a BOMB in the school. They were KKK opposed to intergreting the schools. (Hello, to all my old friends at Echelon and ATF!)
