LCR, To Boot, or Not to Boot

A little while back I bought the Boot grip for my LCR, and I'm just not sure about it. It does make it easier to conceal. But I just don't like the feel of it. The odd thing is that the tiny grip on my LCP has never bothered me. I haven't had a chance to get to the range to see if it effect my shooting yet. I guess that will be the determining factor as to if it will stay on, or go.
I also replaced the hard to see front sight with the SX dot, and think it's great.
So has anybody else had any experience with the LCR Boot Grip revolver?

No, but I switched to smaller, slicker grips on a S&W to make it easier to conceal and easier to extract from a pocket. I think these things can be as important as the shooting qualities a grip brings, especially the gettin' it out slick and quick part.

The 'Tamer' grips that come standard are easy enough to conceal in both pocket and holster AFAIC, and I carry it regularly. The XS sights work well.

In my experience, yes and no. In my Theis IWB holster it doesn't make much difference.
But in a DeSantis Nemesis, and in the front pocket of jeans, this

Still, my final decision will be if I can shoot it accurately, and controllably with the Boot Grips.

Using the Tamer Grips, I wear a Galco OWB and Mika Pocket Holster.

With jeans it's a little snug no matter the grips.

I didn't boot mine it conceals and reloads very easy with the factory furniture. Shooting 158g buffalo bore is stout enough with them.

Just took off my boot grip yesterday on my LCR & replace it with the original tamer grip. I just couldn't get used to it.

The factory grip is a little sticky for ccw, but what it lacks in slickness it makes up for in shootability. The LCR is hard to beat all the way around.

I moved from the Walther P308 to the Ruger LC9s that fits nicely into my pocket holder. The "striker" LC9s version of the LC9 is a vast improvement on the trigger draw and reset the LC9 owners griped about most often.

Yes, that is also an issues with the grips that came on it. But that is a problem in reverse with the Boot grips. Not only really small, but they feel slick as well.
With the most often use being pocket carry in a heavy Winter coat I might just put the old grips back on. I still want to shoot it a bit with the Boot grips just to satisfy my curiosity.
