LCP IWB Holster for Appendix carry

After receiving my Pocket holster for my LCP, It's become clear that pocket carry will not work in all situations. While waiting for my CCL to arrive I've been wearing my LCP around the house in different positions to test comfort and printing. Appendix carry seems to be quite workable.

What IWB holster would you recommend for LCP appendix carry? I think it would be better for the clip to go under the belt rather than over, but I'll consider over-belt options too.

Been using an Uncle Mike's #10 IWB appendix for my LCP for many years... It ain't pretty anymore but still does the job nicely and comfortably.

VERSA-CARRY

there are valid reasons to have gripes with this holster, but it is the ONLY holster that can make my gun disappear even with a tucked in shirt. if my pistol had no external and trigger safety, I wouldn't feel comfortable using it. but I can put my shirt between the holster and the pistol and tuck my shirt in over the gun, the only thing you see is the belt-clip. if it had another plate to cover the other side of trigger, it would be perfect........but, then it wouldn't work cause I couldn't tuck in my shirt(work requires tucked shirt). even though it allows me to tuck in my shirt and stay concealed, a tucked in shirt keeps it from being easily accessible, and I am going to to look into making a custom pocket for my work BDU's( I am 6' tall and 138 pounds, it's hard to conceal anything for me)

just an option to consider, requires a good week "break-in" period to get nice and smooth, but even after six months or so of daily use, still has strong retention

I really like my Old Faithful I made back when they offered the materials to DIY. They still make some nice looking kits and complete holsters.

I am a big convert to the hybrid style, like Old Faithful and Crossbreed. They feel really secure and comfortable, and keeps the gun tucked in, concealed tight. They look kind of big, but they really disappear.

That "The Well Armed Woman" model looks really nice. I might try making one like that out of Kydex. It would be nice to have one with a single clip now and then.

Just wanted to check in and thank you folks for your advice.

I cheaped-out and went with the Uncle Mike's #10. I've been carrying daily for about a year and a half now and I like it quite a bit. My next holster might be one that holds a bit tighter and rides slightly lower, but it's works well.

2 questions for you daily concealed carriers.

1)do you find yourself adjusting the position/height/etc of your firearm when you change position such as getting out of a car? I do sometimes, but I don't think it looks like anything more than adjusting my shirt or jeans.

2)What's the right way to wash one of these? It's beginning to smell just a bit.

You could probably just throw it in the washing machine with a regular load...?

Has the black outer coating started coming off yet? Mine's been all grey for years but it hasn't affected function.

I don't think anyone pays any attention to quickly adjusting a small holster at belt level when it's hidden by my shirt.

I like Remora holsters. I have several. The tuckable comes with a snap off clip that makes it very versatile. I wear it with the clip in drawstring pants and shorts, or when inside my belt, but outside the waist band of my pants when I wear a cover shirt. An LCP is so small that AIWB, with a tucked in shirt it completely disappears. They are well made inexpensive, and are easily washed with a little soap and warm water.

One of the advantages to Kydex is the fact that it doesn't soak up body fluids/smells and is easily wiped off.

Thanks folks. I'll probably do a hand-wash first, but maybe I'll just toss it in the washing machine with the delicate clothes.

-Mine is still black. No noticeable deterioration.

-The remora holsters look good. Looks like they'd stretch a bit less and the metal clip seems like a good upgrade.

-As for kydex, it seems like a great material but I'm not sure it's a good option for me with appendix carry and the slim clothes that I wear.
