LC9s FTE

Went to the range today with only 1 box of ammo so I bought a second box from them to shoot. I usually shoot Federal AE 115 grain. They had Federal Champion 115 grain so I figured if it was the same brand it must be good. I had 2 FTEs, both looked like this pic. After I finished the box of Champion I went through my AE box and they were flawless. Hoping it was just the ammo.

I have an LC9s, and it does seem sensitive to some ammo.
S&B worked fine till their last batch, then had a couple just like yours.
Probably have 500 rounds thru it.
My guess is it’s the ammo, but have noticed that a few people who don’t have as firm grip have more FTE’s.

Ditto... ended up getting rid of mine due to this same ongoing problem.

Galloway sells a recoil spring kit for the LC9s which is designed to deal with that model’s reliability issues.

Good luck, but if you tire of the LC9s consider a Glock 43 as an alternative. Mine has been trouble-free, and it’s still pocketable.

I got my Ruger LC9S PRO this spring, along with a box of 200 White Box Winchester 115 gr. FM J. I've only been able to run about 80 rounds threw it so far but it ran perfect. hdbiker
