Anyone in Texas know about the area that is set aside for target shooting at the LBJ Grasslands near Decatur Texas? I am heading up there this weekend and plan on taking my CVA Hawken. I read on the National Forrest service website that hunting up there is restricted to shotgun, black powder, and archery. The website says the target shooting area is for shotgun, but when I called the main forest service office today I asked the lady twice if black powder rifle was allowed for target shooting in that area as well and she told me twice yes. I am just confused with the inconsistency of the the website info and hers. Anyone been up there and have experience with this?
