Lawyer Who Wiped Out D.C. Ban Says It's About Liberties, Not Guns

Thought this was going to be about TX Attorney General Greg Abbot who helped with the case. (On the pro-gun/pro-liberty side.)

It's refreshing to see someone who believes in individual liberties putting his own money on the line for his principles. And he's not even affected by the change he's brought forth. Good for Levy!

I find it interesting that it took this long for someone to bring a successful challenge.

From my limitied legal understanding the challenge is not yet successful, not when the the entire circut can overule this decision or (less likely IMHO) the USSC can.

Actually, if you ignore the op-ed columns, the washington post has been pretty level-headed about the issue. Probably because local polls show that 89% of the people around here are okay with owning guns.

I'd rather that they fully support the 2nd amendment, but it's a start.

Reading the initial article about the Court ruling was kind of refreshing. For once, the government officials (ahem, adrian fenty et al.) looked like the ones foaming at the mouth, instead of Wayne LaPierre.

The thing that impressed me the most is as stated he gains nothing out of this other than the personal satisfaction that he did what needed to be done, God bless him for his convictions and love of the Constitution.

It is truly a rare thing these days to actually find people that uphold the Constitution instead of trying to manipulate it to their own desires.

Very impressive indeed.
