Five Wal-Marts in my area. Of course we all know the story by now, they are always out of pistol ammo. Tonight I spent time talking to an older guy that manages one of our local Wal-mart sporting goods counters. He said that just before January he had back logged storage some 75,000 rounds of 9mm....not 7,500....75,000. Now that is long gone. He also put me straight on delivery for Wal-Marts in our area. He said it's not true that they just receive ammo shipments on certain days. He said he gets a small amount of ammo almost every day on their general stocking truck. As soon as the store opens the ammo is sold.
I can get ammo OK in our area, I just have to go to the local gun shops and pay more than Wal-Mart. But that sure is a lot of ammo sales. The Wal-Mart sales division must love our new leader.
Every time my wife goes to Wal-Mart (very often) I stroll by the ammo counter. All I ever see is just dust. I have vague memories of buying WWB .45ACP 100 round value packs, but that memory is fading fast.
