Last day of the Gun Show ...

At the Port Charlotte Fairgrounds south of Tampa.

Small but interesting show.

Several pistols I wanted to buy but the vendors simply were stuck at their prices.

Saw what appeared to be some good prices on Uberti Winchester clones. Right at the 800.00 to 900.00 range. A Henry Clone from Uberti, and 1866 Winchester from Uberti, and a Henry Big boy in .357. (Didn't check the price on the Bigboy.)

9.00 to get in with a fifty cent break for military folks.

I little pricey for what it was.

About a two hour drive from the Campus. It was a very nice day.

Only thing I bought was some brass for .45 LC and .45-70.

I looked high and low for some 45-70 brass at the show this past weekend. All I found was a couple of boxes of the loaded type. Bought one and figured I would reuse them. What was the 45-70 brass going for. I have about 1000 pieces of .45 colt.

Wow, for that money I'd much rather have the real deal. My Winchester 94 Trapper in 357 was 349 on sale at our local ranch store about 10 years ago. You find them these days for 750-900 'round these parts. I shoulda bought a dozen! One of my favorite all-tme guns, the action has been professionally worked to make it smooth as butter - I can cock it one handed if I want to show off. :)

Yes but that's a 94 not a 66 or 73. The 73 is the creme dela creme of Winchester rifles, even if it is a Uberti.

Model 94

Was the first rifle larger than .22 that I ever owned (sometime around 1964) It cost me 109.99 with a Weaver 2.5 power scope. (Side mount)

Alas, that rifle is long gone.

The 92 I have now kicks more, makes more smoke and fire than the 94 and booms instead of cracks. (The 94 was .30-30. The 92 is .45LC and I shoot only black powder or subs in it.)
