LaserLyte Venom laser batteries dying too fast

My North American Arms Black Widow .22 magnum was purchased about 6 months ago and the batteries in the laser only last about 6 weeks before they are found to be dead. The laser is used minimally during this time. This is frustrating.

I have replaced the batteries at least 3 times since I bought this package.

Does anyone else have problems like this?

I have contacted Laserlyte about this and am waiting for their response.

Are other small lasers behaving like this?

Any help here would be much appreciated.
 
Yes is the answer. If you laser uses batteries ate are commonly used for hearing aids then you will have short battery life. My laser uses one of those lithium batteries tat are commonly used in better flashlights and nigh vision and it lasts a long time plus they only cost a couple bucks.
