Laserlyte issues... customer service experience?

Hey all,

I bought a Glock 19 a week or so ago with a Laserlyte RL-1 rear laser sight on it from Cabela's. I thought it was pretty cool, until it decided it didn't want to turn off anymore. I had to remove the batteries to get it to turn off! So, needless to say, I'm thinking of just buying a replacement stock sight and sending it back to Laserlyte. Problem is, I sent an email asking Laserlyte what they could do to fix my issue, and haven't heard back from them yet.
So, I'd like to know if any of you have any experience with Laserlyte's customer service department. I'd like to be able to use it, but would probably rather rely on a stock plastic sight, as I know it can't fail. As a side note, what is the stock rear sight height on a Glock 19? Which plastic sight should I get?
What do you say guys?

Not a laser fan.

However for a glock style pistol the laser lyte seems to be the best system because the grip is too big alread. And you don't need a special holster like a rail mounts system. The guide rod set up isn't bad either.

I don't know why you would but a seperate plain rear sight. If the laser doesn't work, it still has a notch to look through at the front sight.

The best thing you can do is learn how to focus on the front sight.

Thanks for posting your problem. I was actually considering one of these to replace the sights on one of my Glocks. No longer a consideration.

I don't have personal experience with them, but I read a review that said they don't hold alignment very well.

I'm going to have to agree with all you guys. I did call today, and spoke with a very helpful young lady named Cara who said she's send out a new replacement sight today. It should be here Friday, so their customer service is excellent.
I might just replace it with a stock plastic sight and sell the Laserlyte.
Don't be surprised if you see it up soon guys!

Thanks for the replies!
