"Laser shooting" training devices?

Can anyone give me some info on "laser training devices" made specifically for target/tactical shooting? I'm sure most of you have seen the Discovery Channel "one shot, one kill" documentary on USMC sniper training (and some of you have even been there...), the laser beam unit is mounted on the rifle, and you dry fire at a special reflective target. The unit is connected to a PC, so after the training you can recall and study all the shots; it records and shows your crosshairs movement on a virtual target before the shot, different color when you are pulling the trigger, and another color after the shot, so you can see your pattern and mistakes, etc. Seems like excellent dry fire training. I've tried a friend's unit (he's into target shooting), but it's a very expensive one made in sweden, is there an american maker of these units? Can anyone give me a first hand account on their performance and usefullness?

Ruben,

I just bought a Beamhit unit last weekend at the gunshow. It is the standard unit that costs $212. I isn't anywhere near as nice as the top of the line unit (at $1800). The $1800 unit is the one that hooks up to a PC and records every shot.

It really is just a glorified way to dryfire practice, but I figure that $212 is worth it if this thing gets my dryfiring more. Anything to help my shooting...
