Large ring mauser ejector round hole or oval hole?

I have a Turk Mauser action that miss an ejector and bolt stop assembly and want to buy one to put on. Notice there are actually 2 types on ejector for 98 mausers, round hole and oval hole. What is the difference? Which one fit which mauser? Any difference in bolt stop? This is large ring mauser. I know small ring is different; however, I wonder if I can put a small ring mauser ejector/bolt stop on a large ring and still functional! Small ring part is cheaper. Thanks.

Stick to large ring parts for the large ring action, it is designed and mfg to withstand higher pressures than a small ring.
I have three large rings and two small rings, I load to much higher pressures for the LR's that I wouldn't even consider for the small rings.
When it comes to parts ...never compromise ! Good Luck !!

It makes no difference in function, the oblong hole ejectors are a little easier to install. Use M98 parts on large ring M98s, M93/95 parts will fir but are slightly different.

Thank you. Bought a complete 98 ejector/bolt stop assy off Gunbroker. Does not say round or oval hole, will see how it fit.

The oblong hole allows the ejector to move back against the tension of the bolt stop spring, thus absorbing some of the impact of ejection and taking it off the screw. Also by providing a spring effect, it improves ejection.
