Lanyard ringed Hi-power Question

On Hi-Power MKIIIs with the lanyard ring, how is the lanyard ring attached? Is it part of the grip as on the Makarovs, or is it part of the pistol? Thank you in advance.

Answer not directly on point:

The Inglis-manufactured Canadian High Powers, Pistol No. 2 Mk I etc., use a stud pierced for the lanyard ring, threaded into a hole at rear of bottom left side of the receiver(frame.) The left-side stock panel has a semi-circular cutout to provide clearence for the lanyard ring. I guess this makes it part of the pistol itsownself.

I have never examined a commercial P-35 set up for lanyard ring. Hope this helps, at least somewhat.

Hello. I owned one of the lanyard MkIII HPs.
It is not attached via the stocks, but has a pin attached to the frame. The only MkIIIs that I've observed having lanyards do NOT have the "Assembled in Portugal" notation. They're only marked, "Made in Belgium." Best.
