Lancer Translucent AR Mags?

USA-made, high impact polymer, hardened-steel feed lips, rubber-coated bottom...on paper, they seem like a winner.

Does anyone have experience with them? Are they reliable?

IMO there's nothing better than Magpul PMAG's. And the price isn't bad either if you look for sales. I've never had any experience with the Lancers though.

I have some that I got last year.
I have heard that they have a newer version.
They work fine and are reliable.
The only thing bad that I have heard is that
you shouldn't spray them down with DEET.:D

They work. I feel the transparency is more of a gimmick, or a desire to garner the same attention from buyers as the Steyr waffle mags for the AUG.

To clearly see the rounds in the mag, you need to turn the gun at least 30 degrees off target, or remove the mag. And you can't see any of them in the mag below 15 rounds without dropping the mag, because they are all in the magwell now.

The windowed Pmag does it better with a stripe on the mag spring that lines up with a round counter molded into the side.

Got some from a prize table, 20 round. Traded all but one for 30-rd Pmags because I mostly prefer 30-rd mags. For me, a single 20 is a lifetime supply for those rare times I want a 20, and it runs just fine in both of my rifles I tried it in.
