i bought a lanber model 2004 last night for $350 and was wondering how to identify which choke tubes are which they just have numbers on them and also did i get a good deal?

If they are using the Perazzi style numbering system, it would seem that
0 is Cylinder or .000 constriction
3 would be IC or about .012 constriction
5 would be Modified or about .020 constriction
7 would be IM, or about .028 constriction
10 would be Full or about .040 constriction

They are the most likely combination, as European guns typically come with those chokes. In England, IC is also called 1/4, Modofied is called 1/2, IM is called 3/4.

They are the constrictions typically measured in groups of 4MM's.

$350 is a very good price. for the base 2004lch model, better for the 2004lch skeet. trap came with 3 choke tubes. All importation of this model ended in 1986. It may have been imported at a later date but the book is unclear if this model was built after 1986. I had a lanber that did not "fit" the book discription, So other models are out there not listed in the blue book. When they where made and when they where imported is gray.

i got the skeet model and it was still in the original box and unfired and thanks for the choke tube information i appreciate it

You bought it for about 50cent on the dollar. A very good investment. It would be interesting to see a picture of the box end data.

Just a little more info:
The gun was made using the metric system and the choke numbers refer to the constriction in 1/10s of a mm. What could be simpler?

I totally agree. This is largely responsible for my fondness for Angle Port Chokes. They are marked with the constriction in thousandths. This makes much more sense to me than Cyl, IC, Sk, Mod, IM, etc. Bigger number, more constriction.

Probably just me and my mechanical background.

BTW, congratulation on the Lanber. I think they are great shotguns for the money.
