Laminated stock for Browning

Does anybody know where I can get a brown laminated stock for a Browning A-Bolt II? I love my Medallion stock, but after one deer hunt, it's already dinged up more than I'd like! Plus, the laminated stock would look good and be much more weather proof. Do they come as a drop in? or will I need to do some major chiseling out?

Thanks in advance!

I highly recommend you check out Fred Wenig's work @ http://www.wenig.com . He offers laminated stocks for practically ALL rifles -- meaning, if he doesn't have the master pattern or CNC codes to shape & inlet the stock, you can send him your stock and his machines will duplicate it.

He offers laminated stocks in many versions [styles] and 6 colors. These are sold as 95% inletting, where you do final fitting, sanding, and finishing. There is NO work that Fred won't do. He will inlet the stock to your action, you can go to his shop to have it custom fitted to you, plus he does checkering and offers every grade of stock none, except junk :D.

He offers the fanciest grades of walnut to the AAA grades with extra, extra figure. His work and materials are truly top notch. No, I don't work for him and have never met him. Rather, his work has been highly recommended by Jon Sundra, who is a rifleman's rifleman -- that's good enough for me.

BTW -- I did have Fred quote me on making a classic style coffee colored laminated stock to fit my left-handed rifle. It would be shaped like the Win model 70 feather weights with the schnable forend. The stock was like $160 - 180, plus another $25 to custom shape it. Where it would be a "custom" to me, I'd also have him put on a Deaccelerator butt pad ... so I don;t screw it up!! The final fitting, sanding, and finishing I'd do myself. If the Xmas bonus comes in [as it should] the order will be placed.

Good luck, you will be very pleased in dealing with Fred's staff. After I got the quote they even contacted me to follow up and see if all of my questions and concerns were addressed ... that's good business. Tight groups!!
