Labor Day MMM Rally

I'll give it one more shot, although response was small last time. I know it's short notice and many people already have plans but:

The MMM are planning on walking the Mackinaw Bridge, between the two pennisulas of Michigan on Labor Day. The five mile walk is an annual event in Michigan and various groups get together to walk it.

The SAS and several other gun-rights groups will be there, as well. If anyone can make it, it would be great. If you need directions or any other info, email me. I'll do what I can.

It's bad enough the MMM gets plenty of free media attention, but when our side doesn't get enough people there to even look like opposition, it's pretty discouraging.

6000 plus members. 50 states. Statistically, about 120 of us are from Michigan, with more from the surrounding states. I realize it's short notice, but not one reply?? There will be plenty of barbeques at Aunt Martha's in the future, but you won't have to worry about RKBA much longer if we don't get out and do something about it.

Colombe,

I sent out a TRT national list alert when I first saw your post couple weeks back?). Did just get a reply from a Michigan RKBA lady who didn't know if she could make it (father in ICU) ... but the word is getting out in the area.

Even if a couple from our side get out there & make some noise, it will get press & denying them the sole headlines if a good start (at least they don't get the only word).

I won't flame "our side" - we're of entirely different phsycological make-up from the antis. They like to hug & network, we like to be left alone. Very generalized, I know ....

Fact is, we need to get out & vocal if we're gonna stop this nonsense & stop it we can.

Hehe, Lab. Don't get too excited about that woman, it was me. :P

I'm not slamming anyone, just a bit depressed.

If I wasn't over 1000 miles away, I'd be there, trust me. Sorry I can't make it.

I did, however, finally get my wife signed up as a SAS member last night.

I made the MMM in D.C. last May, but I was only 700 miles away, Labor Day I will be over 1000 miles away and that is too long a drive.
