La France 6Pac 45 ACP

A friend of mine own a curious compact 45 that I've not been able to gather any good info on. It's a 45 ACP "6Pac" made by La France, CA. I've found some mentioning of a 9mm version, but nothing on the 45. Does anyone have any more info on that gun, period of production, number made etc.?

Since no one seems to have heard of this beast either, here at least some pictures

There are no manufacturer markings on the frame? I've seen some LeFrance compacts made from Star pistols, circa 1970s, but not one based on a 1911.

So, I got my friend to sell me the gun, and I'm restarting my effort to find more information on it. I found a wiki entry that that 9mm version was only made to order, making the 45 a likely custom item too.

Did you try calling LaFrance? His name surfaces occasionally in discussions of the D&D Bren Ten, as he apparently is a source for spare parts.

AFAIK the original company was sold and Tim La France went to Surefire. Not sure the LFS of today is related to the company from the 80's. So worth a shot. There's also a Tim La France gunsmith in CA, might have to call to find out if it's the same.
