KZ45s: RANGER SXT, ProLoad or Gold Dot?
Which runs best through a Wilson?

Wilson lists the SXT as tested ammo, but I wasn't sure if it was the SXT Supreme (civilian stuff) or the Ranger SXT (LE stuff). I hear ProLoad and Gold Dots are also very, very good stuff, but wasn't sure about its performance thru a Wilson.

Put down money on a KZ yesterday.

Skunk, I'd stay away from the 'Supreme' version of the SXT, and go with the LEO version, if you can get it. According to Firarms Statistical, the civilian version of the SXT, named the 'Supreme' does NOT have the 'Talons', and is nothing more than a basic hollowpoint. Furthermore, the Supreme has not been fully tested for performance by Olin-Winchester.

Another defensive load you might consider is Federal's EFMJ - Expanding Full Metal Jacket, seen below alongside a Talon. This looks like FMJ, but has a ball of silicone encasulated under the nose, and mushrooms out as seen below.

If you're asking for my opinion on which of these two to use, my money is on the SXT.

No one can tell you what ammunition will work/function/shoot in your personal weapon. The fact that it is a "Wilson" means nothing. Two Wilson Combat weapons of identical design may (and probably will) function differently or show preference for different ammunition.

Every gun is unique.
