Hey, aren't you now heavy on the 45's w/ your Wilson & USPc 45? Perhaps a P7M8 to even out the 9's & 45's? ;)

Nice lookin' gat.

I think you should get a racing-stripe kinda thing that is lined up with the extractor and goes around to the back of the gun.
That way it has kind of a skunk-like line.

Hey, ow, stop throwing stuff, it's just a suggestion!
:)

Skunk,

Please oh please oh please post a detailed range report. I'm dying to get a 1911 and I'm almost positive the KZ meets and exceeds all of my requirements especially the badass rating. Also.. lemme know if you take it apart and lube it before you shoot. Anything... and I mean any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Didn't get to shoot it last night...she's been stuck at the gun store for a MONTH waiting to get around all the damn legal hurdles. I guess the Cali legislator thinks that since you can only buy a handgun every 30 days, there will be 12 robberies per year

Really, I could have held up 7-11 with my 4 other guns  :barf:

Anyway took her apart. It doesn't come stock with an FLGR, so right when I took the slide off...WHINGGGGGG!!! spring went flying just like that.

Slide to frame fit is REAL good...I mean...wow.

Sights are real good...at first I was disappointed I couldn't get the Novaks on it, but these may do. I think I'll try to shoot at match Saturday morning to help break it in. I may pour 200-300 rounds through it tonight. I'll let you know how she does.

The 463 sights were a pleasant surprise for me. In the same league as Heinie and Novaks. What I really like is that their trit dots don't show up in bright light as much as the others do. I find the dots distracting and really only want them in the dark.

Congrats on an exceptional purchase. I'm sure you'll find that your KZ will far outperform your expectations, as has mine.

Please report on how well the finish wears on yours, mine shows holster wear (as expected), but has almost chipped completely away around the ejection port.

CWL, careful: pets and gun lubes/solvents don't mix. No gun licking for the beagle. It's not even a good idea to have the little guy around if you're cleaning in an enclosed space. Small lungs, etc.

Shmackey,
No need to worry, it took a bit of posing, he took one 'whiff' and ran away.

He is, unfortunately, an anti-gun beagle, or as some may say:
"That dog don't hunt."

Skunkie, thats mighty fine and sweet, at one time I thought I was going to have to hog tie you so I could get the only KZ in town, but you got it first. Then I decided to get the HK USP .45. We should meet sometime at the indoor range and compare the two pistola's, Im still waiting for the legal crud as of now.

Bob, (KDX on another board):D
