Kydex holsters

I've carried Blade-Tec IWB holsters for years and love them and their company service & support. Who has Kydex holsters from other makers, and what are you experiances?

Sidearmor for Glocks and 1911s. Their quality is the equal of Blade-Tec and some think better (I think the Sidearmor IWB is superior to the Blade-Tec). Their customer survice is second to none. They are really nice people to do business with. They have a web site but I don't have it handy right now. Visit Glock Talk - Sidearmor is a sponser over there.

Fobus

Use a Fobus paddle holster for my USP compact. Other than the holster wear on the slide (plastic on metal - ouch), I don't have any complaints. Can throw on and off easily. Off is more diffcult though, it doesn't want to release it's 2 hugh "teeth" from my pants. Never going to have the "typical" problem with other paddle holster here of drawing and getting holster along with gun.;) I've got the old version with only a forward cant, but they've got a newer version where you can adjust it to forward, mid, or back cant by loosening a screw. Haven't seen one in person though, just on the net.

I carried my 1911's in a Ky-Tac Braveheart for quite some time.Excellent holster and company.I have since switched to the FIST Universal Kydex holster because it allows me to change it to crossdraw,IWB or OWB with the adapters and a slotted screwdriver.I killed 3 birds with one stone. It's also the thinnest Kydex holster I've ever owned which gives me more concealability.I've also got an Uncle Mikes in the drawer but it doesn't get used anymore (too big).

kydex

I have Blade-Tech, Comp-tac, and Ky-tac. Comp-tac had the fastest service of delivery by far. I like each one for what it does.

Dittos on Comp-Tac. Have the Undercover for my Kahr P9; nice holster, fits my spare tire real well..........

As Mary said on Joe's Garage..

I'm into Leather!

But I do want a Kydex holster for two applications. One is for hunting but no one makes a Kydex holster for a 4 3/4" Freedom Arms Casull.

The other application is secret... if I told you, well, you know what I'd have to do.

kydex holsters

I own a univearsal holster from FIST and it has worked well. Depending on how I plan on carrying my walther P-99 it allows me to change it out in 3 different styles and comes with the adapters, screws, and instructions. Ths holster is thinner then most of the kydex holsters I have seen and is very comfortable, close to the body, and Iv'e had no problem with it retaining its shape. Ordered it through the internet, got it in about 10 days.

Fobus. Haven't had any problems. Really like its paddle design, although as msu_cj_grad said, its huge teeth really want to stay attached to your pant/belt. But, thats better than the alternative. Best inexpessive investment I've made.
