Are the newer Kel-Tek P-11 pistols better out of the box than the older ones or do they have to be sent back for anything?

I am really thinking about getting one for summer carry, but I'm a little concerned about getting something that will not work as it should to begin with. Let me know what's going on with them now. Thanks!

I have two new ones. Both have been completely reliable out of the box, unlike the early production ones.

I'm wearing one on my ankle right now.

10 + 1 9mm in a very small package.

Mine has been very reliable, but it takes some work to learn to shoot it with the long DAO trigger.

Also, get a mag shoe with a finger hold, the large trigger cover, and a belt clip.

I use my belt clip in my Uncle Mike's ankle holster, rather than the thumb break. It works well.

I have had only on FTF out of about 900 rounds. It was my son limpwristing it.

It does recoil rather strongly.

Practice with it. Carry it......
