Kroger Under Attack Again/Still

Kroger will be having company outside their Cincinnati Headquarters this Wednesday as their annual shareholders meeting gets underway.

Mom's Demand Action will be protesting in full force in efforts to convince Kroger to follow Starbucks and others by banning firearms in their stores.

So far they have been unsuccessful getting Kroger to cave, we shall see how this next attempt pans out.

Maybe a little "pot calling the kettle black" here.

“It’s a vocal minority who make so much noise,” she said. “They shouldn’t be setting the political agenda — or business policy. Kroger has every right to stop open carry on their own property.”

Interesting statement, but factually wrong. Open carriers did not set the business policy for Kroger.

Kroger has the right to stop open carriers on their property. That is true. They also have the right to allow open carriers on their property and Kroger is exercising that right. Kroger apparently does not want the vocal minority (MDA) to set business policy.

DNS beat me to it. ^^^

I suspect they will have all the effect of a small fart in a large windstorm when both of the moms demanding action show up with their sign.

Don't be to sure, they have got the Bloomberg Money behind them. What do we have besides the Constitution and common sense? Nothing.

Let's not forget that similar initiatives met with some success with Target, Chipotle, Starburcks, Peet's, California Pizza Kitchen...the list goes on.

Or that open carry for the sake of making an in-your-face political statement helped the opposition.

No matter your opinion of gun grabbers you have to give them credit for tenacity. Like the British Bulldog they may not be overly gifted with reasoning & deductive powers but they'll hang on till the teeth fall out.:D

Until I see a 30.06 sign on the above businesses those women can keep squawking
By the time you do, it will be too late.

If you guys think they don't see the "nobody knows if it's concealed" posts, you're mistaken. Things from gun forums (including this one) have been quoted by the media and the antis. I wouldn't be surprised if someone from MDA were to print out a few of those and forward them on to Kroger's management with a "see what you get for caving into gun people" swipe.

Heck, I've seen it happen after the passage of a controversial gun bill.

If people on our side really care about this, they'd be writing letters of thanks to Kroger for respecting our rights.

THIS!
A little courtesy goes a long way. You know the anit's are writing emailing & so on, probably quite aggressively. Saying "thanks, buddy" can't hurt & might help dispel the "Knuckle dragging redneck, ingrate, drunken, wife beater" image by quite a lot.

I've already posted on their Facebook page that I respect their standing up for our rights, and their not buckling to the un-American pressure groups funded by a billionaire trying to buy our rights.

Letters to management are nice, but Facebook posts are also visible....
