Korriphila HSP 701 .45

For years I have had an interest in this pistol after reading an article in one of the gun mags. Irv Stone was given this pistol and he highly regarded its quality.
I just saw an ad in The American Rifleman displaying a Damast SS version of this pistol. I wonder if they are going to introduce this model into the USA now?
Does anyone own or have any experience with this pistol? I am a devoted fan of H&K's P9S
.45 and its delayed roller locked action. I believe the Korriphila is similarly designed.
Any feedback or comments would be appreciated. Thanks! Dave

Thanks for reply. What do you consider alot of money? Do you know the retail price? Is it comparable to a custom built .45 by a Guild pistolsmith?

Thanks
Dave

I too saw the ad/news in the "rifleman". I tried to call germany this friday but nobody at the number suplied answered... I will try again monday...(hey I'm in love!).

Cost is still an issue however, if anybody has an idea of the price ranges one might expect from this company then Please let us know!

Peace

I do not have my 'library' with me, it is all in Texas, so I can't look it up. I do get the Korriphila, Korth, and Sokolosky (sp?) mixed up in my mind, but it sure seems like we are talking $3000-$4500 for these guns. In my mind too expensive for what you get. A hand built Dlask .45 is $4000 and you can have just about any APG member build you a VERY nice 1911 from the ground up to your specs for that kind of money. Even on an STI frame with a compensated barrel.

Well flying fecees! I sure hope it does not cost that much! I still will try and call Germany agian tommorow and see if I can get a more firm idea on price ranges...

Be still my beating heart!

Peace!
IZZY
