Kongsberg Colt/Norwegian M1914

Near as I can tell it's all original and matching except for the grips but I have a question: Does anyone know if the barrel bushings were still being serialized in 1941? The finish on thisun's bushing matches the rest of the piece exactly but it's not numbered...

I'm pretty darned pleased with this catch!

That is entirely too cool.

Can't help you on the numbered bushing question but there's another good source of general info on the Kongsberbgs here if you haven't seen it yet.

My Father brought home a Norwegian Colt from WWII...I have his bringback paper which was hand typed in France.
It is possible to get a factory letter for these which will detail where and to whom your pistol was issued, though I have not done so.
Here is a website with more info...in Norwegian!

I would think the bushing would have been numbered, but I am no expert.

I've tried to get through the page where you an order a report but it's not formatted to accept US phone numbers or postal codes so it returns an error message every time.
