Knoxx wire folding stock feels loose

I recently got an old 870 Wingmaster the stock and forend of which were badly water damaged.

I replaced stock with a Knoxx ops wire folding stock, and I was really pleased with it. Its by far the coolest stock I've ever used on anything, the recoil reduction works great although recoil doesn't really bother me, and the wire folding stock seemed extremely solid when extended.

I've taken it to the range about three times and put a variety of high velocity target load and slugs through it and it worked great. Probably about 60 rounds in total.

But now the wire stock feels loose. Not the mechanism that seems to be okay it wobbling where the stock appears to be attached to the mechanism. It looks like there is a pin on each side that hold the wire stock on, that's about where the slack is coming from.

Is this a concern, has anyone else experienced this, and can it be corrected.

Upon further inspection I've found one of the drift pins is slightly loose in it's bore so either the pin has warped or worked itself loose in its bore of its the bore itself. Either way the pins aren't load-bearing when the gun fires so it isn't a safety concern its just annoying that they can't hold it tight.

I think I'll just get one of my fabricator friends to weld in gussets. Between the wire frame and the cylindrical post that the frame mounts too, see if that tightens it back up.

I'm pretty sure I can fix the design flaw. I'm going to see about having two short extra bars welded on to triangulate the wire frame to the rotating studs. This is too cool a product to give up on yet.

I'm amazed there aren't more folding stocks out there, it really is incredibly handy. I hate the look of the side folding stocks and the only other top folder I've seen is the ATI one, and its made of plastic and the so are the tightening screws which I have heard can strip.
