I've been wanting a "super light" DEWC (double-ended wad cutter) for .44 Mag use, for quite some time. I haven't been able to find anything that fits the bill, though.
A 'button' nose is acceptable, but it has to have a wide meplat and be a true 'double-ended' (symmetrical) design.
Pretty much anything from 80 gr to 110 gr would work. - Lube groove style doesn't matter.
Does anyone here know of a mold that would fit the bill?
Just for a point of reference, this is a 113 gr design I drew:
I have a few designs drawn up, ranging from 70 gr to 115 gr. But, I don't want to have to talk Tom (Accurate Molds) into cutting them, unless I don't have any other option. -These designs would require special mold prep, since his normal bore holes and relief cuts are too deep. And, he normally only mills and preps his blocks every few months.
