I'm a veteran pilgrim, go every spring and I'll be there unless something important comes up between now and then.
They have a rental range, plus you can shoot the minigun if your pockets are deep enough
Flamethrowers too.
Don't forget your "eyes and ears", camera (if so inclined) and $ for the gunshow. Comfortable shoes/boot/raingear.
You and your vehicle will either be covered in dust, covered/sunk in mud, or covered in dust then sunk in the mud
Once you get parked, don't get in a hurry to leave as you may be blocked in for hrs. (it happens on saturdays)
Fridays are kind of lean on the line as most shooters are there saturday (with the crowd)
If you buy ammo at the show look for the people running around on the old army "mule" transporters, they will usually haul you and your ammo out to the lot for a buck or two.
I carried a thousand rnds of .308 out to my truck *once*, never again.
