klinton's speech about the military

I was sitting there watching what the liar had to say about the military. I actually started calling the clown aliar out loud. I don't usually do that towards the TV because I know they can't hear me, but I couldn't help myself.

The lying idiot actually stood there and told this crowd of morons that the military was doing the best it had done in years. That the soldiers were as happy as ever and that anyone who said differently was just flat out wrong. Excuse ME!!??? Uh, moron, I just left it a year ago along with thousands of others who were miserable and tired of it all. There is an exodus going on and he has the audacity to stand there and say that it is all going so great.

I know that I am not the first to reveal that he is a lying scum. But I had to vent on this subject because I have let it eat on me for a couple of days and I had to say something. Adn the people in the audience act like they have no idea that the Army alone is 40,000 people short of full strength, and that people are getting out left and right. I wish my voice was louder at that moment and that I could have been heard. Maybe this has been brought to light already and I missed it but if someone has seen a story about it in the news or whatever, I would love a link.

OK, now here are a few Klinton military facts.
1- We have more troops deployed now than at any other time durring peacetime than we have ever had deployed durring peacetime.
2- We have been making continuous reductions in manpower throughout the DOD.
3= 1+2 The military is more overextended than it has ever been.
4- The don't ask, don't tell, don't pursue policy is generally ignored. Pursecution of homosexuals is more comman under the Klinton administration than it has ever been.
5- Disiplinary breakdown has occured in elite Airborne units as evidenced by soldiers taking place in the savage ritual of blood pinning.
6- Confidence in the current leadership has been eroded in elite Army Ranger units due an incident in Somalia. For the first time ever, the dead body of a Ranger was captured by enemies and paraded through the streets in a political display.

Col. Hackworth has been raising h*ll about this and other topics concerning the US military for some time. As a DoD civilian employee, I have personally witnessed plenty of events over the years that I would deem disgraceful. The attitude of service members is at an all time low and they are bailing out at the first opportunity.

I almost included that idea in my post but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to handle over 6,000 TFLers and their fams in my humble abode.

Skyhawk, my Dad referred to it as "rats running and jumping off a sinking ship". I have to say that the sinking ship is right on the money.

Also you guys forgot to mention that Clinton has fired hundreds of cruise missiles and not replaced any of them.

As a Chief in the Navy, one of my de facto responsibilities is to persuade our brightest and most promising young sailors to "ship over" (reenlist). My conscience simply won't let me do it. The most I'm comfortable doing anymore is making sure they really do have an employment plan for when they get out, rather than simply, "Oh, I'll get a job doin' sumthin'." Sadly (for the Navy, that is), most of them do have a pretty solid plan, so all I can do is wish them the best. *Sigh*

As you can see from my user name I am familiar with this . Been there DID THAT!!!. Just remember one thing . The guy that shoved those prongs into my chest after my head was shaved ( like there was a bunch to start with ) would take a bullet for me as I would for him .
As for the Ranger being dragged through the streets that was the fault of the closest officers there . They let it happen . When I was in you would have a better chance of surviving the rubbing of a lions ass with sandpaper ans spitting in his eye than do that to one of ours . Of course after we were all finished comes the business of who left him in the first place . We discipline internally .
RANT: The officers that allowed that to happen failed the litmus test for leadership . Officers are an elite group that lead the rest of us . Until the time of tribulation the only trial they get is make believe . When "it" hits the fan the gloves come off . Every decision better be right or someone dies . Babtism by fire . There were officers that I would follow into Hell because I knew we would come out with a piece of the Devils ass to show for it . There were others that I would not follow to the P.X. . These officers failed the most basic test and should be stripped of any leadership responsability . Usually in combat you only get one chance to be wrong .
