USA Today reports: BAcklash aimed at gunmaker
The gun industry is retaliating against Smith and Wesson for its agreement to put safety locks on handguns. Conn. AG Richard Blumenthal said.
They make it sound like thats the whole problem. To see full story go to www.usatoday.com page 3A. Look under todays print
The heat is on them and they don't like it.
Smith and Wesson has recieved reports of attempts to pressure gun publications into refusing to accept its ads. Crying shame that we the people no longer want anything to do with them.
I really would have liked one of those new Schofields, brings tears to me eyes it does.
I'll just enjoy my pre sell out Smiths a little more and remember better days gone by

More and more individual gun shops are choosing to not carry Smith&Wesson products. It is important that we as the gun buyers support gunshops that have made this choice, and boycott those that continue to serve the Klintons.

BOYCOTT SMITH AND WESSON!!!!!

Off my meds (quit smoking), armed to the teeth, and loose on an unsuspecting society!!!

The First Amendment does not compel a publisher to accept an ad from someone. So, a gun magazine or newspaper may well refuse to publish S&W ads. Tough it S&W!

While I have no lost love for the management and owners of S&W, I do feel sorry for the S&W employees though. The ones I know are good people and would disagree with the new policies as much as you and I.

Boy THAT'S for sure! If it were not so, the NRA would get a LOT more "ad space" in the liberal press! Hey, that'd be a GREAT defense for the gun mags during those "anti-trust" witch hu... er, um, HEARINGS.

Many dealers are waiting till the end of the yer with a wait and see attitude. They do not have to comply until then. Also when to a gun show Sat and people were still looking at the S&W's. I asked a customer about it and he said he heard S&W had backed out of the deal.
I think he was trying to convince himself. I didn't tell him he was incorrect.

If we ever get the whole story behind all of this with S&W, I am willing to bet money that there was a phone call from Clinton to Tony Blair that was closely followed by a call from Blair to S&W's parent company in England.

Any way you cut it, we don't have to buy their stinking firearms anymore, and no one has to sell them ad space should they choose not to do so.

I'm waiting for the government to mandate that the states do business with S&W. Sort of sounds like something a mobster would do, doesn't it? "This is my guy. Take care of him, or else."
