Kimber's Customer Service

Well, I've read all your horror stories bout Kimber's Customer Service. Tomorrow I'm calling to get my Ultra Elite sent back for re-work. The pistol fires very low. I've fired 6 different brands of ammo through it and all shoots low.

At the range today, I put the Kimber in a pistol rest to see if it was just me. Nope, shot low. My buddy shot it, shot low. No malfunctions or other mechanical problems. IT JUST SHOOTS LOW!!!!!

I'll post on how good or bad their service is tomorrow. Best Regards...

Svt, Before you go and ship the gun to Kimber, measure the height of the front sight (Use a caliper). If you know the distance at which you were shooting and just how low the gun was shooting, it should be easy for them to determine the proper height of the front sight and they will send it to you. You could then have a local smith install the sight for a nominal fee. It should save you a few bucks on shipping, and you won't have to trust UPS with your gun. We know they don't care about their employees stealing OUR guns.. BTW, my Kimber Classic Custon recently broke the barrel bushing, Kimber had a replacement part to me in less than a week. Excellent customer service.. Mark / FL

Svt, hate to say it, sell it and buy a Springfield Armory equivalent. If you don't, let us know what happens. I've experienced Kimber's customer service, yeeech.

I just called Kimber and because today is President's Day, their custom shop is closed. I didn't even think about measuring the front sight. I was shooting at 25 yards. The round hits 4-6 inches low on every type of ammo. I tried Federal American Eagle 230 gr FMJ, Federal Hydrashock JHP, Remington 185 gr Wad Cutters, Corbon 185 gr JHP, my own handloads. All of them shot straight but low. Other then the fact it shoots low, their has been no problems. Sorry, but I wouldn't trade it in for a Springfield Slim. I don't give up on a gun that easily. I'll take measurements and call tomorrow.
